The Portland Winter Light Festival is back this week, lighting Portland with all kinds of light installations, projections, and creative moments after dark. Check it out February 6th through 14th. Pivot Property Management is excited to be a part of this years festival by hosting artists in two of our downtown historic buildings.

Festival-goers can find installations featured in many of the 620 Building retail windows, which can be found on the corner of SW 5th and SW Alder. This included pieces like URCHINS-n-OUTS by Todd Moyer and Dance Brightly by Pete Litwinowicz.

There is also an art display in the Grand Stable and Carriage Building, which can be found at SW 2nd and SW Washington. Grand Stable Carriage CO

This event does an amazing job of blending Portland’s creative scene with the character of Portland’s downtown architecture. It literally brings light and fun to empty spaces around Portland, providing a guide to reimagining these spaces. Pivot wants to create a more vibrant and welcoming downtown. Supporting events like the Portland Winter Light Festival is one way we can contribute to bringing people back into the city, supporting artists, and showcasing how commercial spaces can play a role in the community.

Whether you’re exploring the festival for the first time or making it an annual tradition, we encourage you to stop by, take a look, and experience the installations in our buildings as part of your Winter Light Festival route.

For festival maps, schedules, and a full list of participating artists and locations, visit the Portland Winter Light Festival website — and don’t forget to add the 620 Building and the Grand Stable and Carriage Building to your plans.
